A Story of Premonitions and Omens

Fuego (Fire) transports us to the years preceding the Spanish Conquest. The lyrics depict the first omen from Aztecs’ recorded history:

“A star was observed moving through the sky, with spikes of fire dripping down.”

While historians and anthropologists have interpreted the observation to mean many things, the most common modern-day interpretations depict a comet, shooting through the sky.

The Visuals

In this video, we conceptualized the protagonist as someone experiencing a sense of foreboding, an impending and ominous unknown. To achieve this atmosphere, we combined fog, smoke, and fire with a favourite camera trick of ours – slow motion lip syncing – using a high frame rate and expert speed-lip-syncing skills of our artists.
