Lunar Ring Media are proud to present the latest teaser for upcoming AFFTA-funded documentary NEPANTLA
After months of interviews, filming, and conversations with artists across Alberta, we’re excited to share the first teaser for Nepantla.
Nepantla is a documentary exploring the experiences of Latin American artists who have built new lives in Canada. Through music, dance, visual art, and storytelling, the film examines how migration, cultural identity, and the challenges of adapting to a new country can shape artistic expression.
The title refers to a state of being between worlds—a space where old roots and new beginnings coexist. For many of the artists featured in the film, that in-between experience has become a powerful source of creativity, resilience, and community.
This teaser offers a first glimpse into the stories, voices, and artwork that will be featured in the completed documentary. We hope it inspires curiosity about the diverse experiences that make up Canada’s cultural landscape and the ways art can help us understand one another.
